Don Milam and his wife, Micki, graduated from Prairie Bible College in Alberta, Canada, in 1968. Right after their marriage they joined the staff of Philadelphia Teen Challenge working in the inner city with drug addicts. After two years, they exchanged the streets of Philadelphia for the streets of Maputo, Mozambique, in East Africa where they opened a drug rehabilitation center at the request of the Portuguese Department of Health. When the communists took control of the country in 1975, Don was arrested and spent ten months in prison.
Following his release, Don was a pastor for ten years in Pennsylvania. Don has worked for Destiny Image Publishers for thirteen years and is VP head of Acquisitions and the author of The Lost Passions of Jesus and The Ancient Language of Eden. Don and Micki have 3 children and 8 grand children.
Thank you for your inspirational speaking at the recent writer's conference. I am very encouraged. I am newly involved in Marketing with a publishing start-up company with 6 others. I have a lot to learn and this looks like a place I can glean a lot from.
